Belval is a recent development in the south of Luxembourg, just next to the town Esch-sur-Alzette, which is transforming the area previously occupied by the steel industry into a new campus for the university while preserving parts of the industrial heritage.
The Terres Rouges building, where the conference will take place, is an easy to spot landmark just 5 minutes walk from the “Belval Gare” train station.
The venue provides the conference with a large auditorium and 3 classrooms for separate tracks and workshops.
The atrium of the building will host booths for sponsors, local supporters and Open Source projects/communities providing opportunities for networking.
National public transport services are free of charge.
Just outside Findel Airport you can find the bus stop for either the bus 29 or 223 direction “Luxembourg Gare Centrale” then take the train to Belval Gare.
The trip takes 20/25 minutes.
At the Luxembourg City Gare Centrale you can take the trains with direction “Rodange”.
In about 30 minutes you will arrive at the station “Belval (University) Gare”.
If you prefer to use taxis, rent a car or a bicycle you can find more information about the services available on the Visit Luxembourg web site.
