Details of the Workshop

Pootle has been undergoing major development work.  A new version will most likely have been released or be in RC at the time of the conference.  We will showcase these improvements as the first part of this workshop to give localisers exposure to the new features and operations before they are deployed for LibreOffice.  The focus of these new features has been to increase the usability of Pootle and to increase the productivity of localisers.

An understanding of the current state of Pootle will be our launching point for the second part of the workshop which is to brainstorm features that would be beneficial to LibreOffice localisers.  In this session the participants will generate and promote ideas that can lead to better localisation for LibreOffice.  We will then take a number of these ideas and do initial specifications.  These will form initial blueprints of future Pootle features.

So not only will you learn about all the exciting new features in Pootle, you will also get to shape the future versions of Pootle.
