Shouting from the Rooftops: How can we be more effective at LibreOffice Community Outreach? [Marketing]

Robinson Tryon (QA Engineer, The Document Foundation)

Over the last year we've made some amazing progress in building a vibrant LibreOffice community in the US. Recruiting new talent from our LibreOffice userbase and organizing events has taken a unique blend of time, skills, and good luck. In July we'll be holding our 'US Summer Hackfest' -- an event that will give new contributors a chance to learn from experienced developers, QA Team members, and marketing/outreach representatives. We're hopeing that everyone in attendance will both learn from and teach others. If you're interested in becoming more involved with LibreOffice Outreach, please attend this session to learn more about

  • Effective LibreOffice talking points
  • Getting a local LibreOffice Community established in your city, state, or country
  • New ideas for non-traditional outreach
  • ...and more!
